Summer Komikon is an event to enjoy a whole day of fun to meet artists and fellow komiks enthusiasts and this 2018, it was the first time that Epik Studios attended.

Around 7:30AM, exhibitors were starting to set up their own tables. We lined up our three books together with some postcards.

At 10:00AM, the doors of Bayanihan Center were open but there were just a few people for a while. And around 10:40AM, we experienced a slight technical difficulty when the lights went off inside the hall for about ten minutes.

Around noon and onwards, more people started to come in. In the line for Manix Abrera, we spotted Regene Estolatan, probably the biggest fan and also the head writer in developing Kikomachine Komix into a TV series.

At 4:00PM, we were sold out on Bernardo Carpio and had to replenish our stocks immediately. The rest of the event went smoothly as more copies of our graphic novels: “Pedro Penduko: The Legend Begins”, “Republika”, and “Bernardo Carpio” are being sold.

Summer Komikon came to an end at 8:00PM. It was another successful event and a good way to spend a summer day!

See you all soon in the next conventions and thank you to those who visited our table!
