Kaka Vidamo was a fellow at a poetry clinic called LIRA (Linangan sa Imahen, Retorika, at Anyo), and at the 1st Ateneo Libulan LGBT+ Writer’s workshop for creative non-fiction.
He won two consecutive years in Saranggola Blog Awards. In 2011, he came in second place with his entry, “Bughaw. Kayumanggi. Pilak. Ginintuang Puso.” And then he came first on 2012 with “Hindi lang Bola ang Bilog”.
His poem entitled “Balahibong Pusa” was published in Liwayway Magazine back in 2014.
In 2016, Hinabing Salita Publishing House released an anthology of poetry entitled “Punla: Tula ng mga Papausbong na Makata 2016” in which Kaka contributed 5 of his poems with the following titles: “Sa Katahimikan, Mananahimik”, “Cariño Niño: Ang Madaraya”, “Hinding-hindi Na Ako Muli Pang Mamamangka”, “Ang Minsang Laruan ng Uniberso”, “Halimuyak”, and “Halika, Halika”.
He is currently a part of the Epik Team as a copywriter.
