In 2016, during the 37th Manila International Book Fair, we launched our debut graphic novel “Pedro Penduko: The Legend Begins”. In 2017, there was a book signing with James Reid.

We came from 1 book in 2016 to 4 books this 2018.

This 2018, the 39th Manila International Book Fair, we had a panel discussion with the whole Epik Team regarding comics creation. Also, Direk Paul Basinillo was joined by comics creators Mervin Malonzo (Tabi Po) and Manix Abrera (Kikomachine Komix) in a panel talk about the process of adapting a comic book into a TV series or film.

In the panel talk, there were a few questions from the audience, and one was related to Filipino Martial Arts. It was teased that there are plans on working on an FMA-centered film.

During the same day, there was also a book signing, held by National Book Store, with Epik Studios writers Rhadson Mendoza (Bakit List) and Regene Estolatan (Wizard’s Tale).

Other than that, some of our fellow artists such as: Armand Serrano, Randy Valiente, HMT Studios, Prince de Guzman, and more went up the stage and shared a thing or two about their crafts.

Thank you to everyone who dropped by to support us! See you all in our next events: Komiket on October and Komikon on November. To those who won’t be able to come by, you can order our books through our Facebook page.

See you all again soon!
