We have been releasing teasers recently about our upcoming release. While the title has not been revealed yet, we keep it under the hashtag #MM. As seen in the teasers, a female character will lead the storyline of our latest comic book. Interestingly enough, judging the second teaser that was released on March 5 in our Facebook page, the arc nemesis of our new female superhero is also a woman that channels her powers through her locks of hair. For now, what can we say about #MM is that we’re truly excited to share more teasers, and to release the graphic novel as soon as possible. The artwork are so well-crafted that they are exciting to look at even when still uncolored.
#MM is drawn by our very own in-house artist Lui Antonio. Groomed as a traditional artist, Lui Antonio started his comics and script career in Graphic Arts and Services Inc (GASI) in 1991. In 2001, he tried to illustrate for children’s books and in an advertising company. However, a couple of years later, he found himself going back to what he loves—being a comics artist. So in 2003, he worked with international company Boom Studios and eventually released WarHammer.
A combination of right timing and talent, he then worked with Dynamite Entertainment and worked with several titles such as Sonja, Warlord of Mars, Terminator, and Princess of Mars. His works had stunned several big companies including Marvel/Darkhorse’s Star Wars: Dark Times. This led him to continue to work with Marvel and DC sketch cards from Rittenhouse Archives, Ltd.and Cryptozoic Entertainment.
It has only been a year since Lui Antonio ventured in digital media. This 2019, he is set to release his first digital artworks in the two upcoming titles of EPIK that still remain unrevealed to the public.
