The Silent, yet Colorful Randy

Considered the quietest EPIK entity, Randy Monces, a self-taught artist from the highlands of Baguio, has been our resident colorist. He has colored three out of our first four releases including Pedro Penduko, Osyana, and Republika.
Prior his stint and venture with EPIK Studios, his first job was as an illustrator for children’s books. This served as his artistic foundations which led him to explore a more different approach to illustration. He then trained himself to study the styles and treatment used in comics. His perseverance paid off when he eventually landed a job at Glasshouse Graphics Asia as a comics artist. His fondness in comics and visual arts, along with his growing expertise, allowed him to co-found S2DIOGFX, a studio that does art assets for online games and applications for international companies. However, he left the studio shortly thereafter and decided to freelance instead. As a freelance artist-slash-book colorist, he does game assets for online games and applications, book illustrations, storyboards, comic book coloring, and character design among many things.
He is now working at Challenging Comics and Digital Art Chefs whose high profile projects include artworks for Voltron Legendary Defender and colors on Painkiller Jane. On his free time, he creates stunning and noisy black-and-white illustrations which totally negate his “Sleeping Giant” persona.
